PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device which prevents a user from feeling trouble or discomfort when a vehicle is stopped during the parking support.SOLUTION: A parking support device comprises: a detection unit which detects a parking possible area in a peripheral region of a vehicle; a path calculation unit that calculates a parking guide route by which the vehicle is guided from a current position of the vehicle to a parking target position within the parking possible area; and a controlling unit which guides the vehicle on the basis of the parking guide route to the parking target position, and completes the guidance when the vehicle is parked at a prescribed attitude in the parking possible area and reaches the parking target position, or changes a completion grace period till the guidance of the vehicle is completed according to a stop mode of the vehicle when the vehicle enters into the parking possible area at a prescribed attitude and when the vehicle stops before the vehicle reaches the parking target position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
