PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power management system and power management method capable of stably supplying power from a storage battery even when power is tight, while preventing overcharge or overdischarge of the storage battery without increasing rated capacity of the storage battery.SOLUTION: A power management system for reducing peak power by controlling output of a storage battery on the basis of generation power generated by a power generator and purchase power supplied from a commercial power system includes: a load power acquisition unit for acquiring daily load power's past actual result data; and a power purchasing target value determination unit for determining a target value of the purchase power on the basis of a peak value of the past actual result data and a use range of SOC.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
