PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire rod tension control method and a dancer roll apparatus, in which a dancer roll is arranged in such a manner that a lower peripheral surface of a wire rod comes in contact with an upper peripheral surface of the dancer roll to allow the wire rod to be guided and folded in an upward-protruding arc shape, and the self-weight of the dancer roll and a support element thereof, and the tension of the wire rod act downward and meanwhile, the force of the torque of a servomotor acts upward, thereby separation and contact by impact due to the self-weight can be avoided between the upper peripheral surface of the dancer roll and the lower peripheral surface of the wire rod, and the tension of the wire rod can be suitably controlled.SOLUTION: In a wire rod tension control method and a dancer roll apparatus, a dancer roll R is arranged in such a manner that a lower peripheral surface of a wire rod S comes in contact with an upper peripheral surface of the dancer roll to allow the wire rod to be guided and folded in an upward-protruding arc shape, and the self-weight W of the dancer roll and a support element thereof, and the tension T of the wire rod act downward and meanwhile, the force F of the torque TQ of a servomotor M acts upward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
