PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission device capable of stably and instantaneously detecting an operation state of a two-way clutch.SOLUTION: A rotation transmission device includes a two-way clutch 10 having a control retainer 16A and a rotary retainer 16B, and engaging and disengaging a roller 15 assembled between an outer ring 11 and an inner ring 13 by relatively rotating both retainers 16A, 16B by axial movement of the control retainer 16A, and an electromagnetic clutch 50 axially moving the control retainer 16A. A gap sensor 61 is disposed to detect an axial position of the control retainer 16A, the engagement and disengagement of the two-way clutch 10 are detected on the basis of the axial position of the control retainer 16A, and a detection signal is output from the gap sensor 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
