PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine valve gear capable of suppressing a bearing stress applied onto a journal bearing pivotally supporting journals of cam units from the journals during the rotation of the cam units from becoming excessive.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine valve gear 20 comprises a plurality of cam units 21 disposed to be coaxial in an axial direction B, and journals 25 of the two cam units 21 adjacent in the axial direction B are pivotally supported by one journal bearing 30. If it is assumed that a phase different by 180 degrees from a phase of a region located radially outermost in a cam lobe 24 in a circumferential direction is a specific phase, and that half the distance from a proximal end of one of the two journals 25 facing each other in the axial direction to a proximal end of the other journal is an intermediate distance, then tip end surfaces 252 of the journals 25 of the two cam units 21 adjacent in the axial direction B are inclined with respect to a rotation axis, and a length of an outer circumferential surface of each journal 25 in the axial direction B in the specific phase is larger than the intermediate distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
