PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which provides sufficient attenuation to a rotary shaft and effectively inhibits vibrations of the rotary shaft and an impeller.SOLUTION: A centrifugal compressor includes: a rotary shaft 30; an impeller 40 fixed to the rotary shaft 30; and a casing which rotatably supports the rotary shaft 30 and houses the impeller 40. The impeller 40 includes: a disk part 41; blade parts 42 which are provided on one side surface of the disk part 41 when viewed in an axial direction, in which the rotary shaft extends, so as to be spaced away from each other in a circumferential direction; and a cover part 43 which faces the disk part 41 forming a space therebetween and covers the blade parts 42 from the one side in the axial direction. The casing has a hole formation surface 60A which is provided at an area located at the inner peripheral side relative to an outer peripheral side end part 43c of the cover part 43 so as to face the cover part 43 and be spaced away from the cover part 43.
