A method and an apparatus for automatically adjusting a threshold value in an unsupervised learning type for detecting a spike in real time in time series data are provided. The method for automatically adjusting a threshold value in an unsupervised learning type for detecting a spike in real time in time series data according to the present invention comprises the steps of: acquiring raw data, converting and reconfiguring an MSDW value of the raw data into similarity and dissimilarity forms, and generating a histogram; determining a threshold value in real time by using the histogram; and detecting and updating a spike area in real time by using the determined threshold value.
