PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine improved in axial sealability of a scroll unit in which the spiral shape of lap is formed by arithmetic spiral.SOLUTION: In a scroll type fluid machine 1 in which spiral shapes of laps 2b, 3b of fixed and movable scrolls 2, 3 are formed by arithmetic spiral, a lap wall thickness A near a terminal point of finish processing of a lap outer peripheral portion in the fixed scroll 2 and the movable scroll 3, is a minimum wall thickness A(A=2×B1(or B2)+c) to allow chip seals 40, 41 to be disposed. B1is a minimum wall thickness from a lap outer wall to a chip seal groove, B2(=B1) is a minimum wall thickness from a lap inner wall to the chip seal groove, and c (constant) is a chip seal width.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
