PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of suppressing occurrence of skew even when transporting a sheet-like medium in any direction of a normal direction and a reverse direction.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a transportation path 10 for transporting recording paper 3; a guide 13 being brought into contact with the recording paper 3 from a width direction X and guiding the recording paper 3 to a transportation direction; a transportation roller 27 disposed at a downstream side of the guide 13 in a first transportation direction D1; and an inclined roller 23 disposed at an upstream side thereof. When transporting the recording paper 3 in the first transportation direction D1 toward a printing position B, the printer 1 drives the transportation roller 27, but does not drive the inclined roller 23. When transporting the recording paper 3 in a second transportation direction D2 opposite to the first transportation direction D1, the printer 1 drives the inclined roller 23 and the transportation roller 27. On this account, skew corrected by transportation of the recording paper 3 in the first transportation direction D1 is prevented from occurring again by transportation in the second transportation direction D2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
