PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which can balance characteristics of strength and flexibility of the catheter shaft.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 100 includes an outer shaft member 110 having a proximal section 120 and a distal outer member 130. The outer shaft member 110 has inflation lumens 200, 201, 202 defined therethrough. The length of the proximal portion of the distal balloon shaft 141 is at least about two times the inner diameter of the distal balloon shaft 141.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
