PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a water absorbent resin having excellent general absorption performance as a water absorbent resin, an adequate particle size and a high particle strength as well as having excellent fiber tenacity and high fluidity as a powder, as properties suitable for a water absorbent for use in a hygienic material; and a method of producing the same, and to further provide an absorber and an absorbent article using the water absorbent resin.SOLUTION: A water absorbent resin is a water absorbent resin having a form of secondary particles in which first particles with an aspect ratio of 1.1 to 2.2 and a median particle size (d) of 50 to 600 μm are aggregated, the secondary particles having the form with an aspect ratio of 1.0 to 1.7 and a median particle size (D) of 100 to 2000 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
