PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat increasing material for converter containing vegetable biomass as a main raw material and capable of suppressing supply of unnecessary heat quantity to the converter even when used without distinguishing from conventional heat increasing materials for converter derived from a fossil resource.SOLUTION: There is provided a heat increasing material for converter by manufacturing carbide with carbonizing vegetable biomass, mixing a dust containing iron with the carbide as a main raw material and adding a binder and water to the mixture to mold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
