PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optimal image noise correction while considering not only a model difference of a magnetic field noise frequency or strength of an external device but also an individual difference of a noise property of the external device or noise resistance of an imaging device.SOLUTION: In an imaging apparatus, an interchangeable lens 181 can be mounted and an image is generated from output of a solid-state imaging device 131. Under control of a control circuit 202, operations are performed for evaluating image noise caused by the mounted interchangeable lens 181, storing an evaluation result in a storage device in association with information of the interchangeable lens 181 and reducing the image noise caused by the interchangeable lens 181 on the basis of the evaluation result associated with the information of the mounted interchangeable lens 181.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
