PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood chip for a cushioning material, having sufficient cushioning performance, difficult to be broken even when a compressing load is applied on the wood chip curled into a circular arc shape, thus enabling the cushioning performance to be maintained long, and making difficult dispersion of broken fragments as dusts into a chamber from unwoven cloth, a textile or the like for bagging.SOLUTION: The wood chip for a cushioning material formed by processing wood into chips and having a breadth of 3.0 to 10.0 mm is substantially symmetrical and curled into a circular arc shape, has a thickness of about 0.2 to 2.5 mm at the center of the curl, and is thinner toward the longitudinal end of the curl.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
