A compressor is provided with a stationary member (12), an orbiting member (11), a flow-combining suction opening (39), and a back-flow-preventing device (50). The stationary member is a non-rotating member. The orbiting member forms a compression chamber (15) between the orbiting member and the stationary member and changes the volume of the compression chamber by revolving in a predetermined revolving direction (DRrt) relative to the stationary member. The flow-combining suction opening combines, within the compression chamber, fluid sucked in from the outside with fluid being compressed. The back-flow-preventing device prevents fluid from flowing back from the compression chamber side toward the flow-combining suction opening. The stationary member has formed therein a flow-combining passage (51) for causing fluid sucked in from the outside to flow from the back-flow-preventing device and combine with fluid which is within the compression chamber and which is being compressed. The flow-combining passage causes fluid within the passage to flow into the compression chamber while the fluid has a speed component directed in the revolving direction of the orbiting member.
