A video signal line drive circuit (300) which is provided with respectively cascade-connected first to third source drivers (301-303) and fourth to sixth source drivers (304-306). The output time of a data signal supplied to the source drivers becomes shorter (the amount of pixel data to be output to the next stage decreases) the more connections there are in subsequent stages. Therefore, the amount of power consumed by an entire device decreases, and the amount of heat generated is reduced. Furthermore, the phase of the data signal shifts, and EMI is therefore reduced. Thus, if a plurality of video signal line drive circuits are cascade-connected, the amount of heat generated or the amount of power consumed from each drive circuit is reduced or EMI is reduced. |
