PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire that can give a comfortable awakening feeling to a sleeper and effectively give an arousal awakening feeling to the sleeper until the sleeper gets out from the bed.SOLUTION: A lighting device 1 has a light source 3 having a variable dimming rate, and a controller 4 for controlling lighting of the light source 3. The controller 4 executes a first control pattern and a second control pattern. In the first control pattern, lighting of the light source 3 is started at a first time T1 which is a time before a preset wake-up time T and the dimming rate of the light source 3 is increased from the time T1 until a second time T2 which is determined based on the wake-up setting time T. In the second pattern, the dimming rate of the light source is further increased from the second time T3 until a third time T3. When the variation curve of the dimming rate in the first control pattern and the second control patter is applied to the function of Y=d+((a-d)/1+(t/c)), a time c at which the maximum gradient b is given is nearer to the second time T2 than the first time T1 in the first control pattern, and nearer to the second time T2 than the third time T3 in the second control pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
