PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suitably using an image output device and an image display device having a plurality of communication parts.SOLUTION: An image output device is image output device capable of being connected to an image display device having a plurality of first communication means. The image output device includes: a plurality of second communication means; acquisition means for acquiring correspondence information which is information relating to a partial display area associated with the first communication means from the first communication means connected to the second communication means for each second communication means connected to the first communication means; setting means for setting an output mode for each second communication means; and output means for outputting image data based on the output mode set for the second communication means using the second communication means for each second communication means. The setting means automatically sets the first output mode for the second communication means by which the correspondence information is acquired.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
