PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak detection device capable of rapidly distinguishing between normal leak and a lightning surge.SOLUTION: A leak detection device comprises: a zero-phase current transformer through which an AC electric path passes; a first integration operation part for integrating output voltage of the zero-phase current transformer to acquire an effective value or an average value; an integrated value comparison part for outputting a first signal when an operation result operated by the first integration operation part reaches an outside of a first predetermined range; a waveform discrimination part for detecting and counting inflection points of output voltage waveforms of the zero-phase current transformer and then outputting a second signal when the number of the inflection points reaches a predetermined number; and a leak detection part for outputting a leak detection signal indicating that leak is occurring in the AC electric path when the first signal is output by the integrated value comparison part and the second signal is output by the waveform discrimination part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
