PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hollow seal portion from protruding in a lateral direction from a narrow portion of a groove with a step and prevent the hollow seal portion from rupturing between a chamber base and a chamber cover when the chamber base is closed with the chamber cover.SOLUTION: In a vacuum packing machine 10, a packing 20 attached to a groove 15 with a step formed at a peripheral part of a chamber cover 14 comprises: an attached base portion 21 that is fitted and attached to a wide portion 15a of the groove 15 with a step; and a hollow seal portion 22 that protrudes through an opening of the groove 15 with a step in a width narrower than a narrow portion 15b from the attached base portion 21, and seals air-tightly a space between the chamber base 13 and the chamber cover 14. A width of the attached base portion 21 is set to be longer than a width of the wide portion 15a of the groove 15 with a step, and at a center part in a width direction, on a surface opposing to a bottom wall of the groove 15 with a step, of the attached base portion 21 is formed a recessed groove 21a lower than the height of the wide portion 15a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
