PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extraction forceps that can reliably retain teeth by a force smaller than before, and enables miniaturization and weight-reduction and reduction of the number of forceps required in treatment.SOLUTION: An extraction forceps is formed of a gripper 3 contactably/separably operated to/from each other in the base end side of a pivot 2 by a pair of forceps members 1 turnably connected by the pivot 2 in the longitudinal middle section, and is formed of pinching parts 5 for pinching teeth by opening/closing by the contact/separation operation in the tip side of the pivot 2. Recesses 6 are formed on the facing surfaces of the pair of pinching parts 5, each recess configured such that an edge 6a to the facing surface is formed in a semi-circular or semi-elliptical arc shape by a width dimension and a depth dimension from a facing surface gradually reduced from the tips toward the base end side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
