PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation device for an engine for evaporating condensed water inside an EGR cooler to flow down while suppressing the occurrence of the condensed water therein, thus removing the condensed water therefrom.SOLUTION: An EGR device for an engine 1 includes an EGR passage 11, an EGR valve 12, and an EGR cooler 16. The EGR cooler 16 includes an in-cooler gas passage 16a, and an in-cooler cooling water passage 16b. Into the in-cooler cooling water passage 16b, cooling water circulates from a cooling water circulation device of the engine 1 through a cooler cooling water circulation passage 17. A selector valve 18 switches the cooling water to flow from the cooler cooling water circulation passage 17 to the in-cooler cooling water passage 16b between the in-cooler cooling water passage 16b and a cooling water bypass passage 19. An electronic control device 40 permits an opening of the EGR valve 12 when an in-cooler wall face temperature exceeds a first reference temperature, and then permits the selector valve 18 to be switched to open so that the cooling water flows through the in-cooler cooling water passage 16b when the in-cooler wall face temperature exceeds a second reference temperature higher than the first reference temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
