PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a polyisocyanurate-modified isocyanate composition which has a low color number, which hardly causes turbidity even when diluted in an aliphatic organic solvent such as ethyl acetate and methyl ethyl ketone, and which hardly causes insolubles even after time passes while keeping a diluted state.SOLUTION: The method for producing the polyisocyanurate-modified isocyanate composition comprises the steps of: reacting aliphatic and/or alicyclic diisocyanate (A) with a hydroxyl group-containing compound (B) to obtain a reaction product; isocyanurating the reaction product in the presence of an isocyanuration catalyst (C); and deactivating the isocyanuration catalyst to obtain the polyisocyanurate-modified isocyanate composition. The isocyanuration catalyst (C) contains the quaternary ammonium formate (C1) and a diluting agent (C2) that is monoalcohol having 4-13 carbon atoms, which are shown by the following formula.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
