PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently removing an unreacted graft monomer and by-products which are included in modified polyolefin particles obtained by a solid phase method at relatively low temperatures.SOLUTION: A method for producing modified polyolefin particles (F) includes: (1) a step of impregnating (co)polymer particles (A) obtained by (co)polymerizing one or two or more kinds of α olefins selected from α olefins having a melting point (Tm1) measured with the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) of 50°C or more and less than 240°C, mean particle diameter of 0.2 mm to 2.5 mm, and a number of carbon atoms of 2-18, where the copolymer particle (A) is in the solid state, with three of a monomer (B) having an ethylenically unsaturated group and a polar functional group in the same molecule, an organic peroxide (C), and an organic solvent (D), and performing graft reaction at a temperature equal to or less than the melting point (Tm1) to obtain a crude modified polyolefin particles (E); and (2) mixing the crude modified polyolefin particles (E) obtained in the step (1) in the solvent which consists only of dialkyl ketone, in the temperature range of 0°C to [the melting point (Tm1)-50]°C to obtain modified polyolefin particles (F) satisfying relational expressions [1]:(x-X)×100/x≤2, and [2]: log[η]≥0.1-0.15X.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
