PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for compressing a charged object of composite material.SOLUTION: There is provided a system and method for compressing a charged object of composite material. In these system and method, a vacuum compression device may be used for compressing the charged object of composite material on a support surface. The vacuum compression device may be a reusable one, may be constructed to define surrounded space when it is arranged on the support surface, and may comprise a barrier structure and a seal structure constructed so that seal for fluid is formed when it is compressed between the support surface and the barrier structure. Furthermore, the vacuum compression device may comprise a vacuum distribution manifold communicated to the surrounded space and constructed to selectively apply vacuum to the surrounded space. By applying vacuum to the surrounded space, pressure in the surrounded space is reduced and the vacuum compression device is converted from a construction before deformation into a construction after deformation, resulting in that the charged object of composite material may be compressed on the support surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
