1. A system for smart device networking comprising:
an endpoint, comprising:
a device interface that enables communication between the endpoint and a connected device;a processor that processes data received from the connected device; anda first dual-band PAN radio; a bridge comprising:
a second dual-band PAN radio that communicates with the first dual-band PAN radio of the endpoint;a processor that performs packet encapsulation for data originating at the endpoint and packet stripping for data directed to the endpoint; anda WAN communications module that communicatively couples the bridge to a WAN; and a router, operating on a computer server and connected to the bridge through the WAN, that routes communication to and from the endpoint; wherein routing communication to and from the endpoint comprises routing communication according to a first distributed hash table, the first distributed hash table containing a MAC address of the endpoint, a last seen time of the endpoint, and a bridge identifier associated with the endpoint. |
