According to the present invention, provided are an audio video navigation (AVN) system screen control apparatus to allocate a buffer to each division area to individually control display areas, and a method thereof. The apparatus for controlling a screen of an AVN system comprises: a screen division unit dividing a screen of the AVN system into at least two display areas, when mirroring between the AVN system and a mobile terminal is executed; and a buffer allocation unit allocating the buffer to each of the display areas; and a display area control unit individually controlling output of the display areas by using the allocated buffer. |
