PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that is efficiently able to alter a zoom return position even if a magnification for the zoom return position on the telescopic side increases when framing assist is carried out.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: zoom control means that alters a zoom magnification to a wide-angle side in response to a first operation via a first operation part and further alters a zoom magnification to a first zoom magnification in response to a second operation via the first operation part; and display control means that controls display provided by a display part. While the zoom magnification is kept to the wide-angle side in response to the first operation, the display control means superposes and displays on a picked-up image an index indicating a field angle based on the first zoom magnification. The zoom control means alters the first zoom magnification in response to the operation of the second operation part. When the first zoom magnification has a first value, the first zoom operation is altered in response to the operation of the second operation part at a magnification higher than that in the case of a second value, which is a low magnification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
