PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seawater desalination system capable of sufficiently removing a flocculant together with foreign matter by a simple method.SOLUTION: A seawater desalination system 100 comprises: an inorganic flocculant and organic flocculant adding device (not shown) adding flocculants, flocculating foreign matter in seawater to enable its removal, to seawater; static mixers 2, 3 stirring and mixing the seawater to which the flocculants have been added by the adding device; an aggregate growing device 4 growing aggregates in-line from the seawater stirred and mixed with the flocculants in the static mixers 2, 3 and equipped with flow direction changing piping formed by connecting a straight pipe 10a having a predetermined length and a bent pipe 10b bent at a predetermined angle; a sand filter 5 removing the aggregates grown in the aggregate growing device 4; and a reverse osmosis membrane 7 through which the seawater, from which the aggregates have been removed in the sand filter 5, is permeated to obtain fresh water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
