Disclosed are a short-message protection method and apparatus for a terminal. The method comprises: a terminal bottom-layer module parsing a received short-message content, and sending identification information to a dedicated short-message application started by a terminal upper-layer module via a communication channel established with the terminal upper-layer module; the terminal bottom-layer module receiving an identification code sent by the dedicated short-message application, judging whether the dedicated short-message application is a legal application for receiving a short message according to the identification code, and sending, in the case where it is judged that the dedicated short-message application is a legal application, the parsed short-message content to the dedicated short-message application. By means of the technical solution of the present invention, a malicious application is made unable to obtain a short message and even unable to obtain the short message content, thereby greatly protecting short-message information about a user and improving the usage experience of the user. |
