Disclosed are a data transmission method and device, which are used for reducing, by using a new subframe of a smaller length, the transmission delay of data transmission caused when such kinds of new subframes are used. The data transmission method provided by the present invention comprises: determining a frame structure required in data transmission with a user equipment (UE), wherein the frame structure comprises at least one new subframe, the new subframe comprises n symbols, when the cyclic prefix (CP) comprised in the new subframe is a short CP, n<14, and when the CP comprised in the new subframe is a long CP, n<12; and performing data transmission with the UE according to the frame structure. |
