Disclosed are an agriculture work vehicle and a method for controlling a PTO shaft of the agriculture work vehicle. The agriculture work vehicle according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a load sensing unit for sensing a load of the PTO shaft connected to an engine output shaft directly; and a PTO shaft load control device constituted with an auxiliary power source providing auxiliary power to the PTO shaft when the load is detected at the PTO shaft. When a high load is on a work unit and thus a PTO output is reduced, the agriculture work vehicle senses the reduction of the PTO output and compensates the output reduction by driving the auxiliary power source.
