The present invention relates to an overcharge preventing device for a battery module, and more particularly, to an overcharge preventing device for a battery module, capable of breaking power supplied to the battery when the battery is overcharged. According to the present invention, the overcharge preventing device for the battery module is disposed between first and second cells constituting a plurality of cells in the battery module composed of the plurality of cells to prevent the battery module from being overcharged. The overcharge preventing device includes: a base part that is made of an insulating material and has one surface in contact with the first cell and the other surface in contact with the second cell; a temperature sensor that is mounted on the base part to measure the temperatures of the cells; and a control unit that controls the power supplied to the battery module, wherein the control unit breaks the power supplied to the battery module if a resistance of the temperature sensor is detected at a preset value or less. |
