PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of generating an electronic document by arranging an OCR result in an appropriate position in a scan image.SOLUTION: An electronic document generating apparatus generates an electronic document by cooperating with a cloud server which generates an OCR result by adding a break code at the end of a character recognition result on each of unit recognition areas (areas each including an area larger than one row) in an image to be subjected to OCR processing. The electronic document generating apparatus generates a recognition image 500 by applying image processing (setting a distance between row areas to be equal to or larger than a maximum height H1, for example) so that each of the row areas in a scan image may be determined as a unit recognition area by the cloud server. The electronic document generating apparatus transmits the recognition image 500 to the cloud server, and arranges the character recognition result on each of the row areas, on the basis of the break code in the OCR result from the cloud server, in each of the row areas, to generate an electronic document.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
