SOLUTION: A wavelength conversion device for converting light of the first wavelength band includes a transparent substrate, a fluorescent body layer and an optical layer. The fluorescent body layer has a higher refraction index nthan a refraction index nof surrounding medium. The fluorescent body layer is arranged at one surface of the transparent substrate in order to convert light of the first wavelength band into light of second wavelength band. The optical layer is arranged at an opposite side of the fluorescent body layer and at another surface of the transparent substrate in order to reflect the light in the second wavelength band. The optical layer has an effective refraction index n. The relation among n, nand nis given by n>2(n)/n.EFFECT: Light leakage is avoided, manufacturing is simplified and difficulty in selection of material is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
