PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear drive device capable of reliably preventing backlash in a slider from occurring.SOLUTION: A linear drive device comprises a lead screw 10 and a guide shaft 11, a base 1 having a travel surface 1d in parallel with them, and a slider 20 having a guide hole 29 through which the guide shaft penetrates and a nut 28 screwed with the lead screw and linearly moving in an axial direction by rotation of the lead screw. The device further comprises a first pressurization spring 35 for applying rotation biasing forces RA and RB in a circumferential direction around the lead screw to the slider, and a steel ball 24 disposed in a freely travelling manner between the travel surface and the slider, for transmitting the rotation biasing force applied to the slider to the travel surface and receiving reaction force thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
