PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation control device for an engine, for controlling the recirculation amount of exhaust gas through an EGR passage 81 by means of the opening of an EGR valve 83 arranged in the EGR passage 81 and the opening of an exhaust shutter valve 43 arranged on the further downstream side than a connection part of an exhaust passage 40 to the EGR passage 81, while improving the responsiveness of a change of an actual recirculation amount with changes in the openings of the EGR valve 83 and the exhaust shutter valve 43, to a change of a target recirculation amount.SOLUTION: A valve control device executes: EGR valve opening control to determine the opening of the EGR valve 83, supposing that the exhaust shutter valve 43 is fully opened, and to control the opening of the EGR valve 83 as determined; and exhaust shutter valve opening control to determine the opening of the exhaust shutter valve 43, supposing that the EGR valve 83 is fully opened, and to control the opening of the exhaust shutter valve 43 as determined, independently of each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
