PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, when a target is detected on the basis of the result of detecting a signal from a sensor, target detection performance declines in correspondence to an increase in a difference between the probability of detecting a set true target and the probability of detecting an actual true target.SOLUTION: A target detection device according to the present embodiment, provided with a plurality of target models in which mutually different true target detection probabilities are set, calculates a likelihood ratio for each of the plurality of target models on the basis of the result of detecting a signal from a sensor, false target detection probability, and the true target detection probability that is set for each of the plurality of target models and also calculates an upper-limit threshold and a lower-limit threshold for the respective likelihood ratios, collectively determines a likelihood ratio for each of the plurality of target models on the basis of the upper-limit threshold and lower-limit threshold for the respective likelihood ratios, and selects one of "target detected," "target not detected," and "observation continued" as the determination result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
