Provided is a pneumatic tire that has a built-in fastener which is less likely to suffer from deterioration and weakening in the fastening strength thereof over time in harsh conditions where deformation and compression accompanied during tire rotation under a relatively high temperature and at a high speed are repeated over a long period of time, and that is strongly mounted on the inner surface of the tire, and is effective in mounting a desired functional object with specific functions and intrinsic characteristics (e.g., the weight, size, and shape) over a long duration. The pneumatic tire has, in the inner surface thereof, one of two mechanical fasteners that can be separated into two, the one mechanical fastener comprising at least two members. The at least two members are fixed so as to sandwich a fixing member comprising a resin or a resin composition comprising a blend of resin and elastomer. The fixing member is provided with anchor elements only on the side thereof facing the inner surface of the tire, and at least some of the anchor elements are embedded into the inner surface of the tire. |
