This water-absorbent polymer sheet contains a (meth)acrylamide quaternary ammonium salt monomer unit of formula (1) and a hydrophilic monomer unit, and has a degree of haze of 8% or less. CH2=C(R1)CON(R2)-A-N+(R3)(R4)(R5)・X- (1) In formula (1), R1 and R2 are each independent hydrogen atoms or lower alkyl groups. R3 and R4 are lower alkyl groups, R5 is a lower alkyl group, lower alkenyl group, or benzyl group, A is a lower alkylene group, and X- is a halogen anion or perchloric acid anion. The (meth)acrylamide quaternary ammonium salt monomer is preferably a dimethylaminopropyl acrylamide methyl chloride salt, and the hydrophilic monomer is preferably a hydroxyethyl acrylamide or acrylic acid. |
