According to one example a VXLAN may be associated with a tunnel as follows. A first VTEP may receive a first notification message sent from a second VTEP via a first tunnel, wherein the first notification message may include a first VXLAN set indicating a VXLAN assigned to the second VTEP and capable of running via the first tunnel; the first VTEP may search for a first VXLAN included in both the first VXLAN set and a second VXLAN set, wherein the second VXLAN set may include a VXLAN assigned to the first VTEP and capable of running via the first tunnel; and in response to a determination that the first VXLAN is not associated with the first tunnel, the first VTEP may associates the first VXLAN with the first tunnel when the first VXLAN is found. |
