The present invention relates to a method for machining a hypoid gear mold using a five-axis machine, comprising the steps of: securing a base material to a rotary base-material table; rough machining a ring support portion on the base material while moving a tool that can perform a five-axis movement, including X-, Y-, and Z-axis movements, tilting, and rotating; rough machining tooth forms on the base material using the tool; and finish machining the ring support portion and the tooth forms on the base material using the tool, wherein the five-axis machine idles the tool for a predetermined period of time to maintain the tool at a predetermined temperature and then machines the ring support portion and the tooth forms. |
