PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for solving a problem of a high cost due to double investment and improving operability of a user.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle information system including an on-vehicle information terminal mounted on a vehicle and a portable information terminal with a touch panel for providing the on-vehicle information terminal with operation means and communication means, comprises: the operation means for making it possible to operate a display screen of the on-vehicle information terminal by operating the touch panel of the portable information terminal when the portable information terminal is connected to the on-vehicle information terminal via an interface; and the communication means for enabling external communication of the on-vehicle information terminal by using a communication unit of the portable information terminal. By operating the touch panel of the portable information terminal or an operation button of the on-vehicle information terminal, it is possible to respond to an incoming call or terminate a telephone call.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
