PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a control device to detect expansion of a secondary battery without using a sensor dedicated for detecting expansion of the secondary battery.SOLUTION: A battery module 10 has a plurality of secondary batteries 16 which are arranged in parallel. A plurality of battery cells 11 are held by a first end plate 21 and a second end plate 22 which are provided at both sides of the secondary battery 16 in a parallel arrangement direction. An elastic member 15 is provided between the first endplate 21 and the secondary battery 16 adjacent to the first end plate 21. A temperature sensor 61 and a voltage sensor are provided on the battery cell 11. Detection lines 63 and 73 are extended from a detector of each sensor toward the second end plate 22. A second battery holder 32 for holding the battery cell 11 adjacent to the second end plate 22 has a breaking wall 41 that restricts movement of the detection lines 63 and 73 to the parallel arrangement direction of the secondary battery 16 to break the detection lines 63 and 73.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
