PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement an excellent focus detection by appropriately making a shading corrections.SOLUTION: An imaging device has: an image pick-up element 107 that plurally has a pixel 210 capable of outputting a focus detection signal; a focus detection unit 123 that implements a focus detection computation based on a phase difference detection method detecting a phase difference between two image signals included in the focus detection signal; and correction means 121b that, when an absolute value of a difference between an exit pupil distance and a sensor pupil distance is larger than a first threshold, corrects at least one of two image signals to be used by focus detection means so that a difference in an amount of light between two image signals to be acquired by the pixel is made small, and when the absolute value of the difference is equal to or less than the first threshold, does not correct two image signals to be used by the focus detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
