PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device and an image recording device capable of more stably acquiring a proper reading result and properly correcting the result.SOLUTION: The image reading device comprises: illumination means for applying light onto the surface of a medium; light measurement means for measuring the intensity of the light applied from the illumination means and reflected by the surface of the medium; distance measurement means for measuring a distance corresponding to an interval between the predetermined light incident surface of the light measurement means and the medium in the measurement by the light measurement means; and light measurement result correction means for correcting the measurement result of the light measurement means in accordance with the distance measured by the distance measurement means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
