Tip capping device for a syringe (10) having a cylindrical body (11) forming a liquid product reservoir (12) and a tip (13) projecting axially from said cylindrical body (11), said tip capping device comprising a rigid ring (20) engaged on said tip (13), an inner cap (30) formed from a deformable sealing material, such as an elastomer, a rigid external shell (40) fixed around said inner cap (30) and able to engage with said ring (20), said device being configured such that said inner cap (30) comes into sealing contact with said tip (13) when said external shell (40) is engaged with said ring (20), said inner cap (30) being released from said tip (13) in response to the release of said external shell (40) from said ring (20), said external shell (40) forming a hollow sleeve comprising a lower axial opening interacting with said ring (20) and an upper axial opening (44), and in that said external shell (40) comprises at least one lateral window (45) in the peripheral surface thereof, said inner cap (30) comprising a head portion (35) comprising an edge at the distal axial end (37) and a radial shoulder (36) axially offset from said edge at the distal axial end (37), said head portion (35) being fixed in said external shell (40) by being pinched between a radial support surface (46) of said external shell (40) abutting against said radial shoulder (36) of said inner cap (30) and at least one radial projection (47, 48) of said external shell (40) interacting with said edge at the axial distal end (37) of said inner cap (30), said radial support surface (46) of said external shell (40) being formed by an axial proximal edge of said at least one lateral window (45). |
