A broadcast signal transmission apparatus, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: an encoder encoding service data; a mapper mapping the encoded service data; a time interleaver time- interleaving the mapped service data; a frame builder generating at least one signal frame comprising the time-interleaved service data; a modulator modulating the data comprising the generated at least one signal frame on the basis of an orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) method; and a transmitter transmitting a broadcast signal comprising the modulated data, wherein the time interleaver may be operated on the basis of the number of physical paths transmitting the service data.
