PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the connection based on video radio communication standards between a video transmission device and a video reception display device that do not have any display unit and any operation unit for implementing UI.SOLUTION: In a video display system for transmitting and displaying pictures according to video radio transmission standards for transmitting pictures through one-to-one direct radio communication to a video reception display device from a video transmission device which does not have any display unit and any operation unit for implementing user interface, the video transmission device has a connection controller for controlling the establishment between a first connection for connecting the video transmission device and the video reception display device according to the video radio transmission standards, and a second connection for connecting the video transmission device and the video reception display device through peer-to-peer connection prior to the establishment of the first connection. The connection controller starts the processing of establishing the second connection according to any one of achievement of a request from the video reception display device and occurrence of a momentum in the video transmission device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
