PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus capable of heating a fixing member with a well balance such that a flicker regulation value is satisfied, and temperature distribution is made uniform.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: four heaters 53a, 53b, 53c and 53d for heating a fixing member; four switches 55a, 55b, 55c and 55d for switching an off-state and an on-state; four temperature sensors 56a, 56b, 56c and 56d for detecting the temperature of the heaters 53a, 53b, 53c and 53d; and a control part 70 for driving the heaters 53a, 53b, 53c and 53d by controlling the changeover of the switches 55a, 55b, 55c and 55d on the basis of an array pattern. In this case, the control part 70 selects at most two heaters having a large deviation from a target temperature on the basis of the detection results of the four temperature sensors 56a, 56b, 56c and 56d, and drives only the selected heaters.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
